Scientific Activities and Current Researches - Specialist in prehistoric lithic technology. I have performed studies on Ancient and Middle Palaeolithic assemblages in Italy, France and Spain and on Acheulean assemblages in Eritrea. Main research themes: High resolution analysis of technical behaviour, Cognitive aspects of knapping, Techno-functional analysis of tools, Neanderthal use of shell valves to produce tools, Human mobility strategies, Ethno-archeology, Experimental archeology. I will start a new project aimed to include time as a variable within intra-site spatial analysis and to identify the number of co-resident using computational modeling.
